Haxe For Mac
Is there a way to run swfs generated by haxe from the command line rather than having to create an html file? On linux I think you can run the command 'flashplayer' but that doesn't seem to work on Mac.
To create and run a program you need three files, the hx, the hxml, and the html. It would be nice if the html could be eliminated for testing.
If you have downloaded the standalone Flash Player(run it once to let OSX associates it to the file extension), you should be able to open swf files in terminal by 'open path/to/flash.swf'.
Actually the 'open' command works with any file types, even with folders which the finder is opened.
Thanks for the reply. I have the flash player installed (debug version) but:
$ open fpush.swf
No application knows how to open /Users/.../fpush.swfYou may well have the player installed, but, as Andy Li suggested, have you run the installed player to let OSX associate it to the file extension?
@Adam Beguelin
I mean the standalone version(something like 'Flash Player.app') but not the browser plug-in. And make sure associated it with swf file, ie. you can open swf file with the player by double click on the swf file.
